Have you ever wondered what your purpose was on Earth? Yeah, me too. I do know one thing. My main purpose is to radically love and serve Him.
Mark 16:15 "And he said to him, 'Go and spread the gospel to every creature." We are called to spread the Gospel to anyone and everyone that we can. So let's do it. Let's all join together. We could accomplish so much as a community. The world is scary. It's scary going up to someone and witnessing to them, telling them about the love of Christ and His forgiveness. What's even scarier is what will happen if you don't tell them. Sadie Robertson has a saying that says, five seconds of awkward will save you a lifetime of regret. The five awkward seconds it takes to go up to someone will make up for the lifetime and eternity that they will live. Just because you put yourself out there, doesn't mean that person will accept what you have to say. Personally, I have had people walk away, because they didn't care for what I had to say. I realized, pushing harder for them to know Christ will not help. I did what I could, and all that's left to do is pray. That's all you can do in most situations. Colossians 4:2 Devote yourself to prayer, being watchful and thankful. By writing this blog, I am putting myself out there. Obviously, I know that not everyone will agree with my opinions and beliefs, but I pray they understand and learn more about Christ. I pray they have a desire to draw closer to Him. I am just a girl trying to spread the gospel. Anywhere I go, I want people to feel they can talk openly with me about my relationship with Christ. I am a vocal Christian. I don't want to hide my faith, or cover it up. By saying this, Easter is coming up. If you aren't plugged up in a church, I would like to personally invite you to mine. You can message me or comment on this blog/ link and I'll get in touch. Whatever you need, let me know. - much love to you everywhere, ali b

Standing In Sin
I don't know where you are, in your walk with God. And that's okay. That is for only you and God to know. But I do know one thing. We are all sinners, saved by the grace of God. God loves us so much, that he sent his one and only son to pay for the mistakes that we all make. Jesus paid the ultimate price, so we wouldn't have to. Jesus didn't have to do that, because Jesus wasn't flawed. We are. When you repent, and ask for forgiveness, God forgives you. BUT not only does he forgive you, he FORGETS. Literally!! The Bible tells us, as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us (Psalm 103:12). Billy Graham says it best. "We deserve to die — but on the cross all our sins were placed on Him, and He died in our place." Do you know your sins have been forgiven? You can, by turning to Christ in repentance and faith, and giving your life to Him." I am not perfect. Yes, I sin. But God is perfect and He forgives. I struggle with sin, just like everyone else. I find myself judging others at times. That's when I have to remember, God is the only judge. Who am I, a sinner, to judge? No sin is worse than the other in His eyes. When we look at sin, we look at it in rankings almost. All sin is equal in His eyes. Look at the picture at the bottom of this article. The top is an example of how we see sin. The bottom is how God sees sin. However, sin corrupts lives. That's where the devil comes in. Turn away from sin and you'll be turning away from the devil. Challenge of the week: Don't be foolish. Be smart. Resist temptation. Turn away from sin. Turn to God!!!
Thanks to all for the positive words and feedback. Over 600 people read the first blog. I hoped it helped someone. I am so passionate about this. I will start posting every Friday or Saturday. God bless 💗💗
1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Do you ever feel like God doesn't hear you? Do you feel like God DOES hear you, but will not answer your prayer? Do you feel like God isn't there, and he's just left you to fin for yourself? At various points in my life, I have felt all of these ways. And to be honest, I'm still struggling with, "God DOES hear you, but just will not answer it." The difference between feeling that way in the past and feeling that way now is, I KNOW God is there. I KNOW God hears me. I KNOW everything will play out in God's time. I KNOW God has a plan for me, my future, you, and your future. Sometimes I get so frustrated and confused. Jeremiah 29:11- For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future. Have you ever heard the saying, "Great things, take time." Well I usually find out, when I "think" God is silent, that's usually when He is going to move the most. I feel He is strategizing what great blessing He will pour on you next. God works in mysterious ways. Or what about when someone you are close to is really sick? And you think, "God, why?" Even though, we don't know why right now, we will eventually find out and in those times, we need to put our trust in Him. HE is greater than all and HE conquers ALL. And guess what. The same God who formed you, the same God who shaped you in His image, the same God who calls you His child, the same God who says YOU ARE ENOUGH, He performs miracles. (Make sure you read the bottom scripture) A God fearing woman, that I happen to know, shared this story with the students at church, Wednesday night. She told us she had been strapped lately. She went on to say that, she happened to sell two pieces of furniture, find a valuable item in her house that she thought she had lost, and picked up a little extra cash doing an opportunity that was presented to her. She's doing fine now. I don't believe that was luck. That was God. I have said all this to say, PRAISE Him, in any storm! Any battle you're in, thank God. Don't let the devil get to you. It is a test, a test to see if you'll stay faithful to the Lord. It's the most glorious test to pass. The devil wants you to fail. DO NOT give him that satisfaction. I trust you will do what's right, because you are kings and queens. Galatians 1:15- Before I was born, God chose me and called me by his marvelous grace. Challenge of the week: Stay faithful to God. You'll face challenges, you'll face adversity. Don't let your past define who you are. Don't let your problems define who you are. Don't let the cards you have been dealt with define who you are. Praise God in the storm. The good times and the bad. Don't carry all your burdens. Let Him carry your burdens. Trust in Him. Love Him. Don't give in to the temptation of the devil. Hello, friends and family. I decided to start this blog for this very reason, I am inspired.
A couple of days ago (By the time you're reading this, probably a week), I was scrolling through Facebook, when I ran across an article. I clicked on it, which lead me to Grace Valentine's blogging website. I quickly recognized her passion and drive to succeed in journalism. In the past, I have been drawn to journalism as well. (At one time in my life, I wanted to be a New York Times Editor, lol.) I also love to read Katie Buck's tweets on twitter. Her tweets are such a great pick me up throughout the day. Anyways, I then realized, that wasn't the only common interest we had, Jesus Christ was one more. Later that night, I was reading in my Bible, when I ran across 1 Corinthians 15:58, which reminds me of Proverbs 3:6. I will have those versus linked below. As I read, I quickly became inspired once more. This time, to spread the love and joy of Jesus Christ to anyone and everyone that I can. 1 Corinthians 15:58 tells us to stand firm in the lord and to always give yourself fully to the work of the Lord. Do we do that? I try to let anything I do, be done through my Lord, but it's easy to get lost in society. You have to be so very careful. We had a guest speaker at church Sunday and he said something that stuck with me. He said, "Hollywood, along with society, tells us one thing, but the Bible tells us another." That is so true. You can't get lost in materialistic things. Lots of times we try to please the world, myself included, when we should be trying to please God. The world isn't our home, we are just passing through. Heaven is our home and to get there, we have to fully commit to Christ Jesus. This week, I want to challenge you. Get inspired. Get motivated. Serve the Lord. & Stand firm in your faith. Thanks for reading. - Ali b. 1 Corinthians 15:58 NIV Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourself fully to the work of the Lord, because you know your labor in the Lord is not in vain. Proverbs 3:6 NIV In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. |
